Inspired by the iconic ribbon motif associated with awareness-raising movements, the Promote Justice icon employs the hoodie as a design element to represent a hooded roof that shelters all from profiling and discrimination. Flowing out of the hood to the bottom of the design is the United States flag, a globally recognized representation of justice, which builds upon the United States’ core principle of “justice for all.” By combining the hoodie and the flag, an icon was created and a movement was sparked: taking a stand for a world without racial profiling, where all have the right to be sheltered in justice.
